From Challenge to Creation: The Story Behind the Demayth Digital Deck!

Today, I want to share a little story about how a simple comment – and a dash of personal challenge – led to one of our most exciting new features: the Demayth Digital Deck!
Not long ago, while discussing Demayth with a fellow gamer here in Fargo, I heard a remark that really stuck with me. They said, quite plainly, "the game isn't really free if you have to buy cards to play the game."
Ouch. It hit home because, on Reddit and other forums, I'd also seen conversations about how expensive getting into TCGs (Trading Card Games) or even just getting a physical deck can be. While Demayth has always strived to be accessible, that comment was a stark reminder that the cost of physical components could still be a barrier for some.
It was a challenge I couldn't ignore. I took it personally – not in a negative way, but as a personal coding challenge: could I bridge this gap? Could I create something that genuinely allowed anyone to jump into the core of Demayth without a financial hurdle for the cards themselves?
And so, fueled by that challenge and a desire to make Demayth truly open to everyone, I dove deep into coding on our website. The result of that effort, and that initial, seemingly critical feedback, is the Demayth Digital Deck!
