What is Demayth: Demigod Duels?
Demayth: Demigod Duels is a highly tactical, grid-based skirmish board game where players take on the roles of immensely powerful Demigods fighting for supremacy. It blends the deep, customizable character-building of a Roleplaying Game with the tight, competitive mechanics of a tactical card game—but it completely removes the "pay-to-win" blind-buy booster packs of traditional TCGs.
The Core Philosophy: Pure Strategy
The standout feature of Demayth is its Play-to-Win philosophy. Every single player at the table uses the exact same 32-card action deck. There is no luck of the draw regarding what cards you own, only when you draw them. Victory relies entirely on how you customize your Demigod before the match and how you maneuver them on the 16x10 tactical grid.
Deep Customization
Before stepping into the arena, you build your legend using a fixed budget of 5,000 Geni (the game's currency). You create your loadout in two main ways:
- The Item Compendium: Buy legendary heavy armor, massive shield-shattering weapons, magical trinkets, or acidic bows.
- The Grimoire: Choose 3 of the 12 Schools of Magic (from raw Destruction to time-bending Chronology) and "lock in" exactly 9 spells for the duel.
